Every bubble is a song

Two fledglings, a tree that reaches the sky and a lullaby that suddenly stopped. Blow bubbles, catch the grumpy spirits and sing them back to themselves.

Tap a bubble: each one plays a note

The night the clock struck thirteen

High above the clouds, at the top of the Skyward Tree, Mama sings her fledglings to sleep. Then the old cuckoo clock strikes thirteen. The Tree’s song breaks off, a storm rushes in and blows Tirra and Lee all the way down to the roots.

Without their songs, the spirits of the Tree have turned prickly and grumpy. But the fledglings have a gift: every bubble they blow carries a note. Catch a spirit, pop the bubble, and its song comes back, along with something tasty.

Home is up there. It’s a long way, and they can’t fly yet.

Tirra and Lee

Tirra

Brave, impatient and curious: jumps first, thinks later. Dreams of flying higher than anyone. Blows small apricot bubbles that fly far.

Lee

Calm and dreamy, a sleepyhead with a sweet tooth. Notices the little things, so he’s the one who finds the hidden notes. Afraid of heights, and climbs to the top anyway. His big, slow lilac bubbles are easy to ride.

The spirits of the Tree

Each one has lost its song, and a little grey scribble of a cloud hangs over its head. Tap a spirit to give its song back.
